Ángel was elected in September 2022 for a five-year term, starting in February 2023. What a great way to celebrate the 100 years of work of the Alliance in Peru.
Getting a passport for work in Singapore was an aspiration for a bright future for young professionals from the Philippines. They saw it as a career move and an economic uplift for their families. It was a personal plan, but God has used this plan instead to accomplish his purposes.

The centennial celebration of the Khmer Evangelical Church (C&MA), and the entire Protestant church in Cambodia is the testament of God’s power to sustain his Church. After the genocide of the Khmer Rouge regime, when 80% of Christians in that country were killed, the Church of Jesus Christ was rebuilt to join God’s mission of proclaiming the gospel to all nations.
Sixty-seven years ago, a baby was born in a remote indigenous tribe in the Peruvian Amazon. The mother, at the moment of giving birth, dug a hole and buried him alive. At that precise moment, the chief of the tribe appeared providentially, rescuing him from certain death.

Each country has its own way of observing these holidays. For the AWF Women’s Ministries, this was the first time that we celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas with Alliance women around the world.
When I got an invitation to write and perform a short portrayal of the life of Mary, the mother of Jesus, for the AWF Women’s Ministry Thanksgiving and Christmas event, I was a bit overwhelmed. I was very busy at that time, and declined the opportunity, not even asking God for direction. But the Lord had other plans.
Pastors and leaders of the Alliance churches of Argentina and Latin America gathered in November 2022 to celebrate 125 years of history of the Christian and Missionary Alliance of Argentina and to recognize those who have helped build and grow the C&MA in that country.
God is opening doors for the worldwide Alliance to strengthen cooperation in missions with its emphasis on Diaspora Missions, Relief and Development, and Business as Mission. The 2022 AWF Regional Conference of the Asia Pacific Alliance Churches (APAC) allowed the participants to discuss and to plan the next steps to foster cooperation among national churches.
In the northern part of the Chalatenango region in El Salvador, the Alliance Central American Congress was held from September 19-23, 2022. Around 90 representatives of the leadership of the churches of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua participated.
The Alliance Church of Mali (ECEM) and its partners conducted training at the Bible School in Koutiala, Mali, to bring new knowledge that will enable people to improve their livelihood through agriculture and other income sources.
