In the northern part of the Chalatenango region in El Salvador, the Alliance Central American Congress was held from September 19-23, 2022. Around 90 representatives of the leadership of the churches of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua participated.
The Alliance Church of Mali (ECEM) and its partners conducted training at the Bible School in Koutiala, Mali, to bring new knowledge that will enable people to improve their livelihood through agriculture and other income sources.

The AWF International Commission of Theological Education (ICTE) is hosting a theological symposium for the worldwide Alliance community, June 26-27, 2023, in Toulouse, France. Scholars, pastors, leaders, and others wishing to contribute to the work of the Alliance are invited to propose a paper for the Symposium by the 31st of January 2023.
With the theme “Let us return to God,” more than 200 delegates from the Latin American countries of the Christian and Missionary Alliance gathered at the Assembly and Symposium of the Latin American Alliance Fellowship (CLA) from September 28-30, 2022, in Armenia, Colombia.
After three years, the Latin American Women Congress “Amada” took place in person again. The conference welcomed 510 Alliance women from all over Latin America with the theme “Woman: Deep Design.”
Rev. André Conga da Costa, one of the longest-serving Alliance leaders in Africa, passed away on October 4, 2022 at the General Hospital in Cabinda, Angola after a prolonged illness. Born on June 23, 1933 not far from the historic Mboca Mission founded in 1907 by C&MA missionary Elmer Crist, da Costa was the son of evangelist Joel João of the Mboca Mission.

Alliance women around the world were encouraged in a recent Alliance World Fellowship (AWF) Women’s Ministries Leadership Zoom gathering. More than thirty women, representing fifteen countries from the five AWF regions met for worship, teaching, discussion, and prayer.
Keen on the multiplication of disciples, Olivier LO is committed to the “together to grow” slogan, preparing the Alliance family in France for being in one culture and reaching people from another culture. Elected on May 22 as president of the Alliance of France, Rev. LO began his two-year term on October 1, 2022.
A high percentage of pastors in Angola (90%) are hostages of their social condition - a way of life that forces them to depend almost entirely on the insufficient crumbs that they get occasionally from their local churches. We praise God for our faithful partners who blessed the pastors with relief for better living conditions.
The elders of the central church of the Christian Alliance of Ouagadougou visited and prayed for Rev. Thomas Traoré on Sunday, July 31, 2022. He died of cancer only a few days later, on August 15.

The Guayaquil Manifesto, approved at the last AWF Quadrennial, aims to present our response to the challenges that we face today as a missionary movement. It was early Saturday morning, July 9, 2022, when I received the sad news that my good friend, Rev. Issam Farah, had died of a heart problem. Rev. Farah was a kind man, with a strong and solid faith. Calm and secure, he brought joy to all around him. His passing is a great loss for the C&MA in Syria and the surrounding region. We appreciate your prayers for his wife Nahed and for his sons, Ibrahim and John.
The new president of the C&MA Korea, Rev. Jong Hun Sim, has plans to make the denomination known among Koreans, to reach out and serve foreign workers who currently work in Korea, and to mobilize more cooperative missionary efforts.
The 2022 AWF EMERALD (Europe and Middle East) Regional Conference was the first regional gathering since the 2019 conference in Germany. More than 70 delegates from the region, the wider AWF family and the ICTE (International Commission on Theological Education) attended, along with more than 30 from the hosting national Alliance church.
From Montero, Santa Cruz, Rev. José Luis Jaldín is the new president of the C&MA church of Bolivia. His desire for the national church is to activate the ministries, emphasize new church planting, and support the Kingdom´s advance.
The first AWF International Business and Mission Congress was held in Chile in April 2022. Pursuing collaborative projects that will specifically send Latin American Marketplace professionals, the Christian and Missionary Alliance keeps working on joining efforts to include businessmen and professionals in missions. The Christian and Missionary Alliance of Côte d’Ivoire advances in Papara in strengthening the faith of the brothers of the 12 villages closer to the border of Mali. Let’s pray so they may continue to reach them with the gospel.
The Alliance church in Paraguay has been dedicated to serving their friends and neighbors by cleaning the streets and squares near their churches, delivering food and discipling people. Let us pray that God continues to use the Alliance family in Paraguay to be a blessing.
