Alliance Theological Symposium “History, Theology and Mission of the C&MA”

November 17, 2022

The AWF International Commission of Theological Education (ICTE) is hosting a theological symposium for the worldwide Alliance community, June 26-27, 2023, in Toulouse, France. Scholars, pastors, leaders, and others wishing to contribute to the work of the Alliance are invited to propose a paper for the Symposium by the 31st of January 2023. Acceptance of papers will be communicated as proposals are received. Presentations will be 20 minutes, with an additional 5–10 minutes for questions and interaction. It is hoped that a selection of papers from the conference will be subsequently published in an edited volume.

The Call for Papers is now open on matters relating to the history, thought and mission of the C&MA. Papers addressing any aspect of these themes are welcome.

Please note that presenters will need to register for the symposium and be prepared to present in person. Online presentations may be arranged for those who are unable to attend in person because of visa or travel restrictions only. Registration for the Symposium will open in early 2023.

Depending upon the number and quality of received submissions, it may not be possible to accept all proposed papers.

Guidelines for Paper Proposals

The title of the proposed presentation, with an abstract of 250–300 words, should be sent to the chair of the ICTE, Associated Professor Peter Laughlin ([email protected]), by 31st January 2023. Submissions should be accompanied by contact details: name, title, position, phone number and email address. Accepted papers will be notified by the end of February 2023.
