Praise to the Lord by children

Today there are more than ten thousand Vietnamese in Finland. Many of them have obtained citizenship and have married Finns. The Grace Montagnard Alliance Church started in 2007 to reach these people. In 2018, the church got the official recognition from the Finnish government and conducted a celebration worship on October 27th, with 130 people attending the service.

The church started and has been pastored by Rev. Y Lem Rahlan who came to the country as a refugee and who takes care of several people from Vietnam. He faced a lot of persecution by becoming a Christian before arriving in Finland.

Certificates for those who have finished a theology course

The community is growing and forming new leaders who are impacting the Finnish community. In the photo we can see the group that finished the course of theology. The Vietnamese are today recognized as exemplary workers in Finland and have been a good witness of Christ in that country that is mostly Lutheran and whose atheism has grown.

The Alliance Church in Finland is supported by the Vietnamese District of the Christian and Missionary Alliance in the United States. In this partnership we see the God’s care through the care of each other. What a great privilege it is to be part of the Global Alliance Family!

Prayer of repentance after preaching

The Grace Montagnard Alliance Church is an expression of God’s grace upon the Montagnard people and upon Finland. What a great joy it is to see the Alliance family growing and bearing fruit! Rejoice and pray for our brothers as they proclaim Christ to their people!
