Dholka, a city in the Indian State of Gurajat, has been affected not only by the poor quality of cultivable land but also by the high number of children growing up homeless and in extreme poverty. Dholka Alliance Hostel and School has served this community for 117 years.

For the past 30 years, Reverend Silas Yang has been studying and serving as a pastor in the Alliance church of Taiwan. He was elected President in October of this year and he hopes the Lord will guide him in preparing new church planting strategies, furthering the education of their pastors, and taking care of each ministry.

Losing a baby could be a powerful and understandable reason to give up a mission. Not for Nathan’s parents. The one-year-old son of Lagyi Sin Nang and Sarawut Sikrinpacdekun, a Burmese missionary couple in Thailand, died recently. He was seriously injured when an audio speaker fell on him during a worship service. Despite the deep sadness, his parents have decided to keep holding onto God and trusting Him, working among Burmese migrants in Bangkok.

The EMERALD (Europe and Middle East) Region of the AWF (Alliance World Fellowship) sent one of the young scholars trained this past year to impart the DNA of the Alliance to a city in North Africa to introduce more than 40 refugee believers from another background to our history and distinctives.

A group of indigenous churches started 27 years ago by a pastor in a wheelchair to evangelize disabled people is the core of the newly formed C&MA Church in Nepal. This national church will join the fast-growing evangelical church in the country that was officially Hindu until 2006, when it was declared a secular state.

The work in Ecuador began 120 years ago through the efforts of Guillermo Fritz and Eduardo Tarbox. Later, missionaries Homero Crisman and Guillermo Reed joined in the work. The national C&MA was established in 1945. Today, the church celebrates the 120th year of work in Ecuador, grateful for God’s sustaining at each step. The church remains completely committed to continuing the task to see societal renewal in Ecuador, and to forging and forming generations that shine for God’s glory.

The Church of the Believers, the C&MA Church in Liberia, celebrated its 37th anniversary at the end of May 2019, in the city of Monrovia. The event united members from all over the country in a weeklong celebration filled with worship, God’s Word, recognition and prayer. May God continue to bless their ministry and guide reverend Liberty as he leads the Alliance family in Liberia.

More than 25 Alliance pastors and leaders from various ministries connected to the Christian and Missionary Alliance in India shared their present ministry and future plans to plant churches and conduct mission among the large unreached people groups of the country.

Missionaries Narong and Tinh have welcomed many new Vietnamese believers into their church plant in Thailand. During visitation in the Chinese New Year, five people accepted Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. On March 10th, Tinh baptized seven people.

As we enter into this New Year, it is only natural for us to reflect on what God has done over the previous year and consider all that was accomplished by His mighty working power. The blessing of a solid and strong partnership with the leaders of the member-countries of the APAC (Asia-Pacific) region was a precious gift the Lord has given His churches in blessing His ministry.

Located between Iran and Saudi Arabia, the country of Kuwait is receiving a new Alliance Church. It is an extension of the Christian and Missionary Alliance's work in Syria. The church's first pastor will be Reverend Basil Homsi, who was ordained by Reverend Edward Awadbeh. We thank and praise the Lord for all that He has done. Please pray for the Syrian church so it remains strong and faithful.

They came from far away and today they are the part of the first Alliance church in Finland. In 2018, the Grace Montagnard Alliance Church got the official recognition from the Finnish government and conducted a celebration worship on October 27th, with 130 people attending the service.

Although the Mongolian Alliance Church is young, it already has 12 organized churches and eight house churches. They also have many ongoing ministries that focus on counseling, development and giving care to those around them no matter their age or social condition. However, they still need our prayers to keep growing stronger, wiser, and more mature so that God’s light can shine brightly in all of Mongolia.
