The C&MA of Ivory Coast is one of the most vibrant Alliance churches in Africa and is crossing its boundaries to minister to other nations. Please, pray for the leadership of the National Alliance Church as they start new churches inside and outside the country and plan new community development projects.
In their letter to the Philippians, Paul and Timothy talk joyfully about the Philippian church’s help and partnership in the gospel: “I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now”. (Philippians 1:3-5 [ESV]). Paul also mentions to the Ephesians the unity of the Spirit and the bond between brothers and sisters in faith (Ephesians 4:2-3 [ESV]).
Another word for ‘bond’ is alliance. We are told that we are one as the body of Christ. This brings us to something that happened recently:
A five-day trip to Senegal, led by Rev. Celestin Koffi, the AWF Regional Coordinator for Africa, reminded us of this unity. The visit culminated in the signing of a partnership agreement between the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of Ivory Coast and the Evangelical Protestant Church of Senegal. The trip also allowed the church’s leadership to visit several sites destined for church planting.
In addition to that, another show of this union happened during the pastoral conference of the C&MA Church of Ivory Coast, where over 500 pastors met to reflect on the theme of social action, April 8th through the 14th. We have only God to praise for these wonderful events.
So that His name may continue to be glorified, the leaders of the C&MA Church of Ivory Coast ask that we pray for the 63 pastors to be consecrated on May 19th and for the Great National Convention of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of Ivory Coast, August 12th through the 19th.
Thank you for your prayers and your display of our alliance in Christ.
