As we come together to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Alliance World Fellowship, we rightly give thanks for the remarkable work that God has done through the Global Alliance family. From small and humble beginnings—and in faithful dependence on the Spirit of God (Zech. 4:6)—the Alliance has grown to include more than 6.7 million members worldwide. Today, the Alliance is present in 88 countries and consists of more than 24,000 local churches who are sending more than 1,700 international workers. By every measure, the worldwide Alliance family has remained faithful to the mission to which it has been called.
A historic gathering in Cote d’Ivoire marked 50 years of the Alliance World Fellowship and a united call to mission. A week of powerful messages, global worship, and key workshops renewed unity, partnership, and mission. The Alliance family left strengthened and committed to walk forward —together — into the next fifty years.
It is with great joy that we invite you to the 13th AWF Quadrennial Conference, to be held at the President Hotel in Yamoussoukro, Cote d’Ivoire, from October 8-12, 2025. Our theme this year is “Going Together” - a powerful call to strengthen our identity and mission as we collaborate across our global Alliance family.
With grateful hearts and steadfast hope, we announce a new chapter in our journey: the AWF 2025 Quadrennial will now be held in Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire, from October 8-12. This change, prompted by current realities, does not diminish the deep gratitude we owe to the C&MA of Congo. Your faithful preparation and servant-hearted commitment have been a powerful testimony, and we stand with you in prayer and solidarity. Africa holds a cherished place in our Alliance story—where the first missionaries were sent and where a vibrant, faithful Church continues to flourish. Since Simpson’s time, our mission endures: to go deeper in Christ and further in mission—together. We move forward with expectation, knowing God will meet us powerfully in Yamoussoukro.
Each AWF Quadrennial prepares a declaration to be approved at the general assembly. This statement is commonly called a manifesto or declaration. Every manifesto in the history of the AWF has responded to ministerial positions or challenges of different kinds. In general, it has sought to highlight the importance of evangelization, the Alliance ethos and, above all, the missionary character of the denomination. The obvious question, with any document of this nature, is, “what is it for?” For what purpose is a manifesto useful in a fraternity whose regulations are not binding on the national churches? The answer is that the manifesto is prepared by the AWF to foster the development of global unity in achieving goals of relevance to us all.
The AWF’s work in Relief and Development (R&D) during the worldwide pandemic was commendable. During the 2021 Quadrennial Convocation, Robert Sanou, Joanne Beach, Mike Sohm and others discussed how to extend the Alliance’s outreach. This workshop gave birth to new ideas, suggestions and possibilities for the future of the AWF’s Relief and Development ministry.
It’s been more than two thousand years since Jesus returned to sit at the right hand of the Father. Have you ever wondered why he hasn’t come back? Jesus said in Matthew 24:14, “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” Despite all the advancements of technology, traveling and resources, research shows that more than 6,500 people groups, comprising over two billion people, still don’t have access to Jesus. It raises the question: do we truly want King Jesus to return? If so, what are we prepared to do?

May he continue to guide and bless our sisters.

The first AWF Quadrennial Convocation in the middle of a global pandemic took place in Milagro, Ecuador. Around 300 registered delegates were welcomed by more than 200 volunteers from the Milagro Central Alliance Church and the Ecuadorian C&MA to form a beautiful expression of the global Alliance family. We could experience the richness of being one, formed by many races, languages and colors, united in Jesus Christ, our Savior, Sanctifier, Healer, and Coming King. The unity in diversity. The unity of the Spirit that comes from sanctification. The unity that mobilizes the Alliance family to God’s mission. This was a wonderful experience.
As members of the Alliance World Fellowship, we once again affirm our belief in and commitment to Christ, the revelation of God (John 1:18), who Himself is the all-sufficient Savior, Sanctifier, Healer, and Coming King (1 Cor. 1:30).
Having been commissioned by the Lord Jesus Christ himself, who breathed the words ‘Go’ into the very core of our hearts, we commit ourselves at the beginning of this new decade, to once again being a global missionary movement, especially to the least-reached peoples of the earth.
