In September 2024, the city of Guadalajara, Mexico, became the setting for a gathering of AWF Latin America (CLA) Region for 130 leaders and delegates.
Guadalajara came alive with faith and fellowship as 241 women from across Latin America gathered for “AMADA Mexico 2024.”

“Lead the way to the next generations” is the vision brought by Ángel Sabino Barrientos Chuquillanqui, the new president of the C&MA Peru. Ángel was elected in September 2022 for a five-year term, starting in February 2023. He cannot hold back his enthusiasm for his new role with the Alliance, and he is looking forward to seeing new generations meet Jesus. What a great way to celebrate the 100 years of work of the Alliance in Peru.
Sixty-seven years ago, a baby was born in a remote indigenous tribe in the Peruvian Amazon. The mother, at the moment of giving birth, dug a hole and buried him alive. At that precise moment, the chief of the tribe appeared providentially, rescuing him from certain death.
With the theme “Let us return to God,” more than 200 delegates from the Latin American countries of the Christian and Missionary Alliance gathered at the Assembly and Symposium of the Latin American Alliance Fellowship (CLA) from September 28-30, 2022, in Armenia, Colombia.
After three years, the Latin American Women Congress “Amada” took place in person again. The conference welcomed 510 Alliance women from all over Latin America with the theme “Woman: Deep Design.”
From Montero, Santa Cruz, Rev. José Luis Jaldín is the new president of the C&MA church of Bolivia. His desire for the national church is to activate the ministries, emphasize new church planting, and support the Kingdom´s advance.
The first AWF International Business and Mission Congress was held in Chile in April 2022. Pursuing collaborative projects that will specifically send Latin American Marketplace professionals, the Christian and Missionary Alliance keeps working on joining efforts to include businessmen and professionals in missions. The Alliance church in Paraguay has been dedicated to serving their friends and neighbors by cleaning the streets and squares near their churches, delivering food and discipling people. Let us pray that God continues to use the Alliance family in Paraguay to be a blessing.
Born into a family of missionaries that worked worldwide, Rev. Jeremy Warden now has more than 20 years of ministry experience. As president, Rev. Warden hopes to help guide the Brazilian Alliance in strengthening and renewing its relationship with God.
