The AWF ICTE’s (International Commission of Theological Education) vision is to further enable and grow the mission of The Christian and Missionary Alliance worldwide and, therefore, to glorify the triune God.
The first AWF Alliance Theological Symposium was held in June 2023 in France. The objective was to deepen the understanding of the history and theology of the Alliance movement and to reflect on ways the Alliance should engage in ministry and missions today.
The 2022 AWF EMERALD (Europe and Middle East) Regional Conference was the first regional gathering since the 2019 conference in Germany. More than 70 delegates from the region, the wider AWF family and the ICTE (International Commission on Theological Education) attended, along with more than 30 from the hosting national Alliance church.
Delegates at the AWF Quadrennial conference in Guayaquil, Ecuador were able to attend workshops about issues related to the heart of our heritage. Over three successive days, topics such as the deeper life, history of mission, and engaging the future in the light of our past were eagerly discussed.
Nepal and South Korea are now members of the Alliance World Fellowship, welcomed at the AWF Quadrennial Convocation in Guayaquil, Ecuador. The revised Statement of Faith and the Guayaquil Manifesto were approved amid a unifying atmosphere at the business sessions. The AWF officers for the next term were elected and all proposals were approved as presented.
To strengthen the Alliance DNA throughout the churches of the AWF Asia Pacific Region, the International Commission on Theological Education (ICTE) is conducting the C&MA Distinctives Webinar from March 16-19, 2021.

Two books on A.B. Simpson were published in 2019. One of them, A.B. Simpson and the Making of Modern Evangelicalism, will be discussed by its author Dr. Daryn Henry during the Alliance History and Thought Symposium hosted by Ambrose University on November 24, 2020.

Congratulations go to Rev. Chris Smith from Canada and Rev. Dr. Joël Kuvuna Mbongi from the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Teachers stepped back into history at the end of June as they took part in the AWF-ICTE (International Commission of Theological Education) Young Scholars Training Initiative in Nyack, New York. Selected participants from around the world received training in Alliance Distinctives as preparation for future teaching in their respective Alliance World Fellowship regions. It was a significant step in promoting the Alliance to the next generation of leaders.

The AWF EMERALD 2019 Regional Conference was the biggest AWF regional conference in history with more than 140 delegates present from both the region and from the wider AWF family, including Latin America.
