For two days, the voices of 70 leaders from five nations rose together in Madrid, united by a singular mission: to dive into the depths of Alliance Theology and Identity.

As the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Syria celebrates its century-long journey, it stands on the shoulders of heroes who paved the way. Their sacrifices and unwavering faith have left an indelible mark on Syrian society.

After more than 15 years, the AWF EMERALD Regional Conference returned to France, providing fellowship and challenging participants to refresh their thoughts and perspectives about global missions.

The 2022 AWF EMERALD (Europe and Middle East) Regional Conference was the first regional gathering since the 2019 conference in Germany. More than 70 delegates from the region, the wider AWF family and the ICTE (International Commission on Theological Education) attended, along with more than 30 from the hosting national Alliance church.

Rev. Arístides Flores opened his heart to the Lord when he was 15 years old and now has more than 18 years of ministry experience. As president, Rev. Flores wants to consolidate the Alliance in Spain as one family, and through the INFORMA Bible Institute train more leaders for church planting.

The Dutch C&MA has proudly launched the translation of “A.B.” by David P. Jones. “A.B.” is the biography of Albert Benjamin Simpson, the founder of the Christian and Missionary Alliance. Rocco Rausch, pastor of the Alliance church in Tilburg, was part of the team responsible for this effort. Rocco was interviewed by Gerdien Karssen, communications officer of Unie-ABC Church. AWF Women Ministries continues to be a blessing to our women worldwide. Formed by President Jura Yanagihara to prepare workshops for the 2021 AWF Quadrennial Convocation, this ministry has sought to connect the Alliance family worldwide through women’s ministries. This year, this ministry’s leaders take another step in God’s plan to carry out the Great Commission.

Founded in 1994, the Alliance of Russia (ECMU) focused on church-planting and missionary work from the very start. The Russian C&MA conducts many ministries and wishes to continue growing and expanding God’s kingdom. They ask us to pray for their ministries and international workers during these difficult times.

Rev. Sergey Rybikov has been serving the Lord for 26 years. Now, he is guiding the Russian Alliance forward. He intends to strengthen the prayer culture within their churches, train new ministers and unify the Alliance family in Russia. With this, he plans to rekindle the flames of missionary work in the Russian Alliance.

Seventy-five women from five AWF regions attended the AWF Global Network of Alliance Women’s virtual gathering on June 9, 2021. Thanks to our Heavenly Father, it was a success and a blessing! Pray that this ministry reaches even more women across our global family.

Praise the Lord for the overwhelmingly good news from the Sudanese Alliance Church! Despite the challenges they face, our brothers and sisters are thriving under our God’s blessings. Let us pray that they continue to have the strength, wisdom, and faith to keep growing.

The Alliance church in Syria decided to start a project as part of its ministry to meet the increasing need of counseling people. Let us pray for wisdom for the church’s leadership to enable them to empower and encourage people and to see opportunities in the middle of this dark atmosphere.

Forty years ago, the first Vietnamese refugee arrived in Finland and now there are more than ten thousand. The Grace Montagnard Alliance Church, led by Reverend Y Lem Rahlan, started in 2007 and their vision is to reach the Montagnards who belong to the Jorai tribe.

As we approach the end of the year and prepare to celebrate the Christmas season and the new year 2021, I wish each one of you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
