Meet Arístides Flores, the New President of the Spanish Alliance

April 18, 2022

Rev. Arístides Flores opened his heart to the Lord when he was 15 years old and now has more than 18 years of ministry experience. As president, Rev. Flores wants to consolidate the Alliance in Spain as one family, and through the INFORMA Bible Institute train more leaders for church planting.

Born in 1967 in Valencia, Carabobo, Venezuela, Arístides Rafael Flores Tovar is the new president of the Christian and Missionary Alliance of Spain (FIACME). His parents, José and Nancy, and his six brothers were Catholics. Rev. Flores gave his life to Jesus when he was diagnosed with a cardiac problem at the age of 15. He has been married to Milagro Pérez since 1991 and they have two children, Raquel (30) and Misael (28), who are living and working in England.

Rev. Flores studied Theology at the Global University (USA), and has a Bachelor of Pastoral Ministry degree from the Bible Faith College in Indiana, USA. He started in the Alliance as a missionary 18 years ago, arriving in the Canary Islands as a pioneer church planter and pastor. With other brothers within the denomination, he was able to plant a church on each of the seven islands.

Elected president of FIACME in February 2022, Rev. Flores will serve the Spanish Alliance for the next three years.

As the new president, he wants to consolidate the Alliance churches in Spain as a family, to serve together, and equip and train more church planters through the INFORMA Bible Institute. He also plans to start seven more mission points in the Canary Islands.

Rev. Flores asks us to pray for the FIACME churches so they can encourage new generations to serve God in Spain. Pray also for his family as they embrace the vision and mission of this new responsibility.
