In a harmonious convergence of cultures, the 8th Asia Pacific Alliance Women’s Conference and Prayer Journey unfolded with the resounding theme “Go to the Nations.”
Are November and December busy months for you? To many people, these two months are their busiest, as church and family celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas. Each country has its own way of observing these holidays. For the AWF Women’s Ministries, this was the first time that we celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas with Alliance women around the world.
When I got an invitation to write and perform a short portrayal of the life of Mary, the mother of Jesus, for the AWF Women’s Ministry Thanksgiving and Christmas event, I was a bit overwhelmed. I was very busy at that time, and declined the opportunity, not even asking God for direction. But the Lord had other plans.
After three years, the Latin American Women Congress “Amada” took place in person again. The conference welcomed 510 Alliance women from all over Latin America with the theme “Woman: Deep Design.”
Do you ever feel discouraged in your walk of faith or in your leadership? What can provide “fresh wind in your sails” as you move forward in life and leadership? Alliance women around the world were encouraged in a recent Alliance World Fellowship (AWF) Women’s Ministries Leadership Zoom gathering. More than thirty women, representing fifteen countries from the five AWF regions met for worship, teaching, discussion, and prayer.
AWF Women Ministries continues to be a blessing to our women worldwide. Formed by President Jura Yanagihara to prepare workshops for the 2021 AWF Quadrennial Convocation, this ministry has sought to connect the Alliance family worldwide through women’s ministries. This year, this ministry’s leaders take another step in God’s plan to carry out the Great Commission.
After more than a year of preparation, the AWF Global Network of Alliance Women met in person during the Quadrennial Convocation in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Women from all over the world connected and shared blessed moments of prayer, Bible study and worship. Let us thank God for this incredible time they shared and the fruits of their meetings. May he continue to guide and bless our sisters.
With more than 3,500 women present, the AMADA 5 virtual conference held on June 26, 2021 brought a message of hope, comfort, and strength. The speaker, Débora Steffens Fanderwud, used 2 Corinthians 4:7-10 to talk about the church’s situation and women’s role during the pandemic. Thanks to our Lord and Savior, the event was a blessing and a success. May God continue to guide and bless this beautiful women’s ministry in the Latin American region.
Born to revive God’s call for the Alliance women in Latin America, AMADA took its first steps in 2009. The AMADA ministry connects Alliance women across Latin America. Pray that God continues to use this ministry for the growth of his kingdom.
Seventy-five women from five AWF regions attended the AWF Global Network of Alliance Women’s virtual gathering on June 9, 2021. Thanks to our Heavenly Father, it was a success and a blessing! Pray that this ministry reaches even more women across our global family.
The women of the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Latin America will hold conferences in October 2020 about the ministry, life and development of Christian women. Men and women are invited to participate in the third part of the Ministerial Update organized by CLA, AWF and FATELA.
