Thailand Vietnamese Ministry Update

The missionary couple from Vietnam, Narong and Tinh, has wonderful news to share. Their work in Nakhon Phanom is steadily progressing. They have been planting the seeds of God’s love in the hearts of many and, with God’s blessing, many more will hear about our Lord Jesus.

The church planting ministry among the Vietnamese in Nakhon Phanom, Thailand started on April 18, 2018. My wife and I started to explore Nakhon Phanom by walking while we prayed, asking the Lord to perfectly guide and lead us as we begin the ministry.

Every morning we pray along the Mekong River, where many of the Vietnamese go to for morning exercises. Then, before dark, we go to a gym located about 10 kilometers from the city, to meet with another group of Vietnamese, who were also doing physical exercises. We do this every day until we befriend them and invite them to pray with us. The task is challenging, so pray with us so God will give us patience and so that we do not get tired of trying.

Besides the early morning and evening prayer ministry and friendship building with the people, we also go to Vietnamese villages, markets, and shops to socialize and to build a kind of intimate friendship and a rapport with them.

Later in the day, we meet and spend time with four women who are believers but seldom go to church. They are spiritually weak and have little knowledge of the Bible due to lack of pastoral care and nurturing. We have started teaching them about the word of God and praying together.

1. Please pray for these four women and a brother to grow in their walk and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
2. Pray that God will open the hearts of the Vietnamese people whom we have established friendships with.
3. Pray with us for God’s divine protection, wisdom, strength, and passion in doing the work of God.
4. Pray for our consistent walk with the Lord and God’s anointing upon our lives.
