A group of approximately 200 women travels around 300 km, about 185 miles, to pray in another city. Why? To prepare it to receive the missionary couple commissioned by the Evangelical Churches of Vietnam North and the forthcoming ministry.
On November 18-23 of 2017, something wonderful happened: A group of almost 200 women, representing Australia, Brazil, India, Indonesia, Ivory Coast, North Vietnam, New Zealand, and the Philippines, traveled almost 300 km, about 185 miles, to pray for the city of Nakhon Phanom.
This Prayer Journey took place after the Asia Pacific Alliance Women’s Conference. They traveled to Nakhon Phanom to prepare the way, the heart of the local people, and the place in ushering the Vietnamese missionary couple to a new partnership and exciting ministry of reaching the Vietnamese, Thai in Nakhon Phanom.
Before that, the Asia Pacific Alliance Women’s Conference happened. Held in Khon Kaen, it had “Women of Global Influence” as the theme of their event. The conference and the Prayer Journey were held under the new APAW president, Rev. Priskila Paksoal, and her committee.
During the event, Rev. Jura Yanagihara, Alliance World Fellowship President, challenged the women to have a holy ambition to proclaim Christ to all nations and to follow God’s purpose in their life.
In response to that challenge, the APAW women collected a favorable amount to assist the Vietnamese missionary couple to Thailand, praise God.
Narong and Thin were commissioned in the previous month during the Evangelical Churches of Vietnam North General Council. They are expected to leave in late April 2018, God willing.
