More Stories of Restoration in Magar, Nepal

February 25, 2020

The miracle of salvation that happened when a missionary met a man on the road to Magar, Nepal.

In 2015, a young Nepalese, Ganesh Bayalkoti, was sent to be a missionary in MagarNepal, a poor country in South Asia, located mainly in the Himalayas.

Ganesh has been working among the people of Magar ever since, and after four years of ministry among the Magars, there are 18 first generation believers (of whom 14 have been baptized) and more than 10 children.

One day while walking he met a man, shared with him the news about Jesus, and a miracle happened.

Hari Lal Magar comes from a Hindu background. He is married and has two children. Prior to knowing Jesus Christ, he had problems in his family – demonic attacks, no success in work and life, disappointment and no peace. He had invested all his money, time and efforts but he did not have any success. He was discouraged and disappointed.

One day, as our missionary, Ganesh Bayalkoti, was going to Dhopka village to visit and have fellowship with the Magar believers, he met Hari Lal on the road. Hari Lal was headed to his home, near where the Magar believers live. As Ganesh and Hari Lal walked together, they started talking. Ganesh asked him about his life and Hari Lal started sharing about his problems. Ganesh related his personal testimony, encouraged Hari Lal, and shared the gospel with him. He told him that Jesus loves all people and that Jesus is the only way, the truth, and the life. Ganesh told Hari Lal that if he would believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and accept Him as his personal Savior, Jesus would give him peace.

Before they parted, Ganesh prayed for Hari Lal and invited him to the fellowship the next week. The following Saturday, Hari Lal attended the fellowship with his wife and two children and they publicly accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord. The believers prayed for them and continued to pray for him and his family. And day by day, the Lord started doing great things in that family. Now they all have joy and peace in their hearts. Hari Lal soon got a job in Birendranagar city, and now they are financially stable and doing well as a family. The Lord has blessed them with a peaceful life.
