The Mongolian herdsmen families of the Gobi Desert faced many challenges in the last two years. They experienced a drought, a harsh winter, the pandemic and natural disasters. But God guided the Mongolian Alliance through all this. They were able to help 51 families with wheat bran and fodder for their livestock. The last year was one of many hardships for the people of Mongolia. The drought, the harsh winter, the pandemic, and natural disasters left many herdsmen families in the Gobi Desert in a dire situation. But God guided his people to help! The Mongolian Alliance stepped in, providing 51 families with wheat bran and fodder for their livestock.
Along with the help from AWF, the Christian and Missionary Alliance of Mongolia was able to buy the supplies needed to assist the herdsmen in the Middlegobi province. They targeted two districts in this region: Khuld and Delgerkhangai. These two communities hadn’t been receiving enough help from local organizations and the government due to the difficulties the country was facing. Thankfully, our Lord provided our brothers and sisters with a plan to reach out to them.
Together with local churches, they were able to bless around 190 people. Their animals regained strength. While the Alliance volunteers provided the supplies, they shared the Word of God and Jesus’s love. Many were touched and felt encouraged by their actions and words. Together, they prayed and worshipped.
Although they wanted to reach many more lives, the COVID-19 restrictions were too strict, but the volunteers are already preparing new ways to help the herdsmen and their families. Their next step is to teach them financial planning.
Let us thank our Lord for this opportunity to share the gospel with these families. May God continue to use the Mongolian Alliance to touch even more lives.
