With over 40 years of experience and dedication to God’s work, Michael Baraniak is the new president of the C&MA Church of the UK.
Michael married Catherine in 1976 and joined the Alliance movement in the UK as a church planter when living in Tamworth, Staffordshire. They have three children – Stephen, who leads a congregation near Nottingham; Amy, who is a lecturer in Health Psychology at Derby University; and Philip, who is a youth minister working with a church in Boston Spa, Yorkshire. They also have six grandchildren.
The couple moved to pastor the Ashby Alliance Church in 1980. During 1984 – 1987, Michael led the Alliance in the country. Later, in 1989, they moved to Long Eaton, Nottinghamshire to pastor a small Alliance church in the town while also teaching in local schools and studied for a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.
In 1998, Michael returned to pastor the church in Ashby and continues in this ministry to the present day. During this time Michael led the Alliance for about five years until 2013 and recently has taken up the Director’s role in July 2018.
