After more than 40 years of pastoral ministry, Rev. Enrique Rosa Reyes begins a four-year term as president of the Christian and Missionary Alliance in the Dominican Republic on March 7, 2026.
The Alliance church in the Dominican Republic entered a new season of leadership on March 7, 2026, as Rev. Enrique Rosa Reyes began his service as national president. His election took place during the January General Assembly, where pastors and delegates affirmed him for a four-year term.
The Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA) of the Dominican Republic serves more than six thousand members across 123 local congregations, guided by ordained ministers and ministry leaders who share the gospel in their communities. This growing ministry reflects a church committed to reaching people, strengthening believers, and expanding its witness across the nation.
Rev. Rosa’s story is rooted in a lifetime of faith and service. He was born in Toro Cenizo, Villa Tapia, and grew up in a large family where church life shaped his early years. His father served as a pastor, and from childhood Enrique learned what it means to follow Christ faithfully.
“I have served the Lord all my life,” he said.
Rev. Rosa began pastoral ministry at age seventeen in La Torre, La Vega. Over the past 44 years, his work has focused on shepherding congregations, planting churches, and helping leaders grow. He completed theological training through Alliance programs, preparing him for decades of pastoral and national service.
Rev. Rosa married Fe Modesta Ferreiras in December 1988. They have three children and have served faithfully as a family in ministry.
As he steps into national leadership, Rev. Rosa’s vision includes reaching those who do not yet know Christ, strengthening church growth, developing young leaders for the future, and completing key ministry projects. He also invites us to pray for unity, wisdom, and strength for the responsibilities ahead.
This new leadership season comes at an important moment for the wider Alliance family. From September 21-26, 2026, the Dominican Republic will host the AWF Latin America Regional Conference and the AMADA Women’s Conference. Leaders and representatives from across the region will gather for fellowship, encouragement, and renewed commitment to the mission of sharing the gospel. The national church is preparing to welcome the region and serve as host for this significant event.
The Dominican Republic is a nation with a strong Christian heritage and a vibrant church life. As the Alliance continues to grow, leaders see new opportunities to serve communities, raise disciples, and extend the message of hope to every province.
After more than four decades of ministry, Rev. Rosa’s appointment reflects a life shaped by perseverance, faith, and a desire to see lives transformed. His leadership begins a new chapter for the national church as it continues to move forward in unity and mission.
