A partnership that started in 2018 in the APAC region is showing results and fruit. Let us praise God for His guiding hand and pray that He will continue to shine through our brothers and sisters.
In April 2018, the AWF-APAC promoted a church planting partnership to reach out to the Burmese workers in Mahachai, Thailand. As the main partner, the Thailand C&MA invited Rev. Than Tun, a Burmese pastor, to work among these contract workers.
Thanks to the Lord, according to Pastor Than Tun, there are more than 40 people attending the worship service every Sunday.
Currently, Pastor Than Tun has baptized two new converts of Buddhist background. Right now, there are seven new contacts who are joining the morning worship service.
During weekends, the Grace Mission Community church provides basic English and basic Thai classes for the migrant workers in the afternoons and a Bible study in the mornings.
