Recently, Dr. Daniel Ronda, the President of the C&MA of Indonesia visited the victims in Sentani Papua. According to him, “he was so surprised by the devastating impact of the flood. Hundreds of people died, and other hundreds lost buried by the mudslides.”
The disaster not just affected the community, but our Alliance families also suffered by these floods. Some of their houses gone and buried, lost their families and love ones, our theological school was damaged, and some churches are also severely damaged.
Rev. Ronda is asking our Alliance family to please pray for the Alliance Church in Papua despite being victims, they commit to bring some helps in responding the calamity to the community.
He said, “volunteers are still working to do house cleaning and clean water program. It takes 3-6 months to be fully recovered. Your prayers are really appreciated.”
