Almost 50 Alliance pastors and leaders from the states of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Assam and Kolkata gathered at the conference around the theme, “Deeper Life and Missions.” The conference was the third NAFI (National Alliance Fellowship of India) meeting, and attendance doubled since the second gathering. Many leaders from Maharashtra joined for the first time.

One pastor mentioned, “This is my very first time to attend this pastors and leaders gathering after 30 years of serving as pastor in Maharashtra Synod. I am so blessed to be able to come in this NAFI meeting.”

Another commented, “There were not many pastors who attended for first NAFI meeting because no one invited them. As they were invited this time, they heard rumors around that there will be some decisions to be taken in favor of NAFI. But after attending this meeting we came to know that there is nothing political but purely spiritual. It is good that we came, and all our misunderstanding and misinformation came to an end. We are glad that we attended this meeting.”

The attendees found the messages from the speakers powerful, relevant and timely. Also, they were encouraged as they listened to each other’s stories of God working despite the challenges they faced. One pastor testified saying, “I was spiritually revived and refreshed. Before coming to the event my heart was heavy.” Another pastor said, “My vision and passion for missions was renewed when I heard the messages on missions and upon hearing testimonies during the reports.”

The conference was held January 27-30 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat and the speakers were Rev. Jon Mitchell (Executive Director of the College of Prayer International), and Rev. Aman Gupta (Board Member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance of Australia).
