The Alliance church in Paraguay has been dedicated to serving their friends and neighbors by cleaning the streets and squares near their churches, delivering food and discipling people. Let us pray that God continues to use the Alliance family in Paraguay to be a blessing.

Burkina Faso and Mali are western African nations that have faced famine for decades. In recent years, jihadist terrorist attacks have resulted in the displacement of many. Nationals, mostly women and children, are being relocated west to the Sahara Desert. Surviving primarily through agriculture, these people fall victim to the droughts and floods that are common to the Sahara, further jeopardizing their lives.

Terrorism has plagued Mali for years, causing political and socio-economic upheaval for the people. The Alliance church reached out to the most vulnerable pastors and families, providing much-needed assistance. While travel is still dangerous and the general situation is insecure, the local team has touched the people with hope and support.

As part of the AWF Global Response to COVID-19 program, the team in Burkina Faso continues to provide income-generating activities, farmer training, and sanitation facilities for families, helping them protect themselves and thrive.

The Alliance in Guinea is quenching the physical thirst of communities in the high Guinean savannah, where temperatures are high and water is lacking. May God continue to use them to relieve people’s spiritual thirst.

As Alliance family, we are grateful to the Lord for your participation in the AWF Global Response to COVID-19. We were able to assist more than 170,000 brothers and sisters among Alliance churches around the world.

The Alliance church in Syria decided to start a project as part of its ministry to meet the increasing need of counseling people. Let us pray for wisdom for the church’s leadership to enable them to empower and encourage people and to see opportunities in the middle of this dark atmosphere.

Dholka, a city in the Indian State of Gurajat, has been affected not only by the poor quality of cultivable land but also by the high number of children growing up homeless and in extreme poverty. Dholka Alliance Hostel and School has served this community for 117 years.

God is using the pandemic to strengthen the ties of the global Alliance family. Twenty-three national Alliance churches are working together to help vulnerable communities affected by COVID-19 through long-term development projects. Twenty-one national Alliance churches are partnering in different missionary projects.

During the first phase of AWF’s Global Response to COVID-19, three African countries have had many fruits and blessings. Our brothers and sisters from Cote d’Ivoire, Gabon, and Mali ask us to continue praying for them. May God bless many more lives through them.

With AWF's Global Response to COVID-19 entering its second phase (development projects), we realized that food insecurity has been intensified by this pandemic and may have a lasting impact on vulnerable communities. At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the pastors in Colombia had to close the doors of their churches. Then they asked: What do we do now?

The Global Alliance Family has been serving thousands of vulnerable communities in more than 50 countries since the pandemic started. The local churches are distributing food, masks, soups and medicines and are creating awareness of proper hygiene habits and the use of protective measures. The AWF Global Response to COVID-19 will help those local churches with more funding to reach an additional 170,000 people who will experience the love and mercy of God through the hands of His servants.

The C&MA in Cuba has faced increasing difficulties with the Pandemic. The country has had limitations in many areas of life, from access to water and electricity to the purchase of basic hygiene and food products. That situation has worsened with the new coronavirus. This was what the president of an African national church said during one of four meetings this week to organize a global response to the COVID-19 pandemic. It summarizes our leaders’ understanding that the challenge before us is beyond our capacity, but God has given the necessary provision to His people, and we have the resolve to share it with those most in need in the communities we serve.

The SALT ministry in Huancayo, Peru is perhaps one of the longest and most successful ministries under the C&MA and SALT partnership. Students from many towns around this city come at considerable expense to receive training in theology, and many go on to graduate and receive a degree which they can put to good use.

AWF and CAMA Services (Alliance Missions – USA) are working together to mobilize a global response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Jesus is a compassionate savior calling us to action. As we prayed together, we felt compelled to seek a fast and effective response to the needs of the most vulnerable people among those served by Alliance churches worldwide. Pastor Nour and his team believes that this crisis is just an opportunity to put God’s compassion on display. They are finding people more open now than ever!
