The year 2023 has meant a new, hopeful dawn for the Evangelistic Movement of Lima Encounter with God (LED) in Peru. It has been 50 years of fervent prayer of servants full of the love of the Lord working for his Church and a Latin American city thirsty for the love of a God who changes lives.
Born to revive God’s call for the Alliance women in Latin America, AMADA took its first steps in 2009. The AMADA ministry connects Alliance women across Latin America. Pray that God continues to use this ministry for the growth of his kingdom.
The pandemic initially presented a threatening challenge for the Latin American missionary movement. However, the God of mission guided the CLA to take actions. Despite churches closing, Latin missionaries remained in the field with their virtual and in-person ministries bringing help and hope to those most in need.
The SALT ministry in Huancayo, Peru is perhaps one of the longest and most successful ministries under the C&MA and SALT partnership. Students from many towns around this city come at considerable expense to receive training in theology, and many go on to graduate and receive a degree which they can put to good use.
“Building Healthy Churches” was the theme of the First International Congress of Healthy Church Development held in Lima, Peru, August 26 to 30, 2019. This congress, commissioned by the C&MA of Peru, was organized by the Lima Encounter with God movement of the C&MA.
