Mark Leonard Jones’ life was characterized by the commitment to his faith, and spreading God’s love, mercy, justice, and salvation worldwide through his ministry with CAMA Services and The Alliance Canada.
Reverend Darren Herbold has served The Alliance Canada for over 15 years. Part of his ministry has been in Thailand and Southeast Asia as international worker and regional developer. As the new president, he has a passion to see The Alliance Canada thrive as a Christ-centered, Spirit-empowered, and Mission-focused movement.
AWF Women Ministries continues to be a blessing to our women worldwide. Formed by President Jura Yanagihara to prepare workshops for the 2021 AWF Quadrennial Convocation, this ministry has sought to connect the Alliance family worldwide through women’s ministries. This year, this ministry’s leaders take another step in God’s plan to carry out the Great Commission.
Seventy-five women from five AWF regions attended the AWF Global Network of Alliance Women’s virtual gathering on June 9, 2021. Thanks to our Heavenly Father, it was a success and a blessing! Pray that this ministry reaches even more women across our global family.
God understands the challenges that we are each walking in during the global pandemic that’s entering a second wave in most places. God also reminds us that as He does His work in the most difficult of circumstances, His redemptive purposes among the nations will cause us to wonder and be astounded beyond belief.
The Global Alliance Family has been serving thousands of vulnerable communities in more than 50 countries since the pandemic started. The local churches are distributing food, masks, soups and medicines and are creating awareness of proper hygiene habits and the use of protective measures. The AWF Global Response to COVID-19 will help those local churches with more funding to reach an additional 170,000 people who will experience the love and mercy of God through the hands of His servants.
The Rev. Dr. Arnold Lorne Cook, president of the Alliance World Fellowship from 2000 to 2004, passed peacefully into God’s presence surrounded by family and friends on January 23, 2020 at the age of 87.
