Nepal and South Korea are now members of the Alliance World Fellowship, welcomed at the AWF Quadrennial Convocation in Guayaquil, Ecuador. The AWF officers for the next term were elected and all proposals were approved as presented.
The first AWF Quadrennial Convocation in the middle of a global pandemic took place in Milagro, Ecuador. Around 300 registered delegates were welcomed by more than 200 volunteers from the Milagro Central Alliance Church and the Ecuadorian C&MA to form a beautiful expression of the global Alliance family. We could experience the richness of being one, formed by many races, languages and colors, united in Jesus Christ, our Savior, Sanctifier, Healer, and Coming King. The unity in diversity. The unity of the Spirit that comes from sanctification. The unity that mobilizes the Alliance family to God’s mission. This was a wonderful experience.
Seventy-five women from five AWF regions attended the AWF Global Network of Alliance Women’s virtual gathering on June 9, 2021. Thanks to our Heavenly Father, it was a success and a blessing! Pray that this ministry reaches even more women across our global family.
The AWF Executive Committee has confirmed the AWF Quadrennial Convocation for October 19-23, 2021 in Ecuador. The meeting will be held at the Central Milagro Alliance Church, in a city adjacent to Guayaquil. Please pray for all the necessary preparations for a Spirit-filled, dynamic and safe gathering with participants from all over the world.
The second wave of COVID-19 in India is taking a toll not only in its healthcare system and the economy, but on the lives of the people. Pray for our Alliance family in India. May the church bring hope and shine the light of Christ in the midst of darkness.
As Alliance family, we are grateful to the Lord for your participation in the AWF Global Response to COVID-19. We were able to assist more than 170,000 brothers and sisters among Alliance churches around the world.
God is using the pandemic to strengthen the ties of the global Alliance family. Twenty-three national Alliance churches are working together to help vulnerable communities affected by COVID-19 through long-term development projects. Twenty-one national Alliance churches are partnering in different missionary projects.
