The 2022 AWF EMERALD (Europe and Middle East) Regional Conference was the first regional gathering since the 2019 conference in Germany. More than 70 delegates from the region, the wider AWF family and the ICTE (International Commission on Theological Education) attended, along with more than 30 from the hosting national Alliance church.

Throughout the history of the world, God has scattered his people for his purposes, to further his kingdom. The church, by its very nature, is a diaspora community. Mass migration offers us a window of opportunity to commit to and live to be the church that is the worthy instrument of God’s passion to redeem the world. The Diaspora Ministry workshop was one of the main workshops of the AWF Quadrennial in Ecuador.

The EMERALD Regional Coordinating Committee is encouraged to see how God is working through the Christian and Missionary Alliance family in our region as new projects take shape and mission mobilization grows. We pray that God will be exalted in our region in building His Church and expanding His kingdom through the work of all national churches in the region.

The Alliance in Germany is focusing its effort to reach Arab speaking immigrants and refugees from Muslim background in Berlin and Koblenz to Christ.

The Alliance church in France is building a new vision for the future and has just started a grassroots movement among its churches to develop that vision. Please pray that God will provide clarity and bring the Alliance churches there closer together for His glory.
