Reverend Chamroeun Ruom is the new President of the Alliance in Cambodia. He hopes to see the local churches united and grounded in Biblical teaching, as well as reaching out to neighboring countries to spread the Good News.
The Lord’s hand is always visible in His ministry through Narong and Tinh in reaching the Vietnamese-Thai in Thailand. In the past two months, there are seven individuals who accepted Christ into their hearts.
On March 17, 2019 flashfloods and landslides triggered by torrential rains hit Jayapura district of Papua province in Indonesia. Houses, office buildings, roads, bridges and public facilities across Jayapura were affected by the disaster.
After the destructive tsunami that hit Palu in September 2018, Reverends Daniel Ronda and Lai Ka Lai are visiting the island to get an update on the relief work and rebuilding project.
A partnership that started in 2018 in the APAC region is showing results and fruit. Let us praise God for His guiding hand and pray that He will continue to shine through our brothers and sisters.
After 50 years of ministry the Alliance Church in Australia has been able to praise the Lord for the wonderful things that have happened there. Much fruit has been harvested: New churches joining our family, new workers going to the field, people of all ages being touched by Jesus, outreach and encouragement among members, and so much more.
Missionaries Narong and Tinh have welcomed many new Vietnamese believers into their church plant in Thailand. During visitation in the Chinese New Year, five people accepted Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. On March 10th, Tinh baptized seven people.
The Gujarat Synod of India and the National Alliance Churches of Myanmar will hold General Assemblies in February and March.
As we enter into this New Year, it is only natural for us to reflect on what God has done over the previous year and consider all that was accomplished by His mighty working power. The blessing of a solid and strong partnership with the leaders of the member-countries of the APAC (Asia-Pacific) region was a precious gift the Lord has given His churches in blessing His ministry.

National Church leaders from 15 countries of the AWF Asia-Pacific Region (APAC) reassured their spiritual roots and discussed how a Spirit-empowered missionary movement can move forward to fulfill the Great Commission in the present era.
Although the Mongolian Alliance Church is young, it already has 12 organized churches and eight house churches. They also have many ongoing ministries that focus on counseling, development and giving care to those around them no matter their age or social condition. However, they still need our prayers to keep growing stronger, wiser, and more mature so that God’s light can shine brightly in all of Mongolia.
As part of our communication strategy, we are launching a new outreach campaign.
Praise the Lord for the Alliance Youth Convention that was held in India in May 2018 and for the 22 young people who committed their lives to Christ.
In the May AWF Prayer Requests, we prayed for the first National Alliance Fellowship of the India (NAFI) Coordinating Committee meeting. God answered our prayers and the leaders present had a fruitful and blessed time together.
The missionary couple from Vietnam, Narong and Tinh, has wonderful news to share. Their work in Nakhon Phanom is steadily progressing. They have been planting the seeds of God’s love in the hearts of many and, with God’s blessing, many more will hear about our Lord Jesus.
The C&MA of Myanmar has a new president, Rev. Lal Duh Chuanga, who diligently served as a pastor for 19 years before his election. He plans to dedicate himself to planting churches in at least 20 villages among the Burmese, Karen, and Mizo/Chin people.
Reverend Sanguansak Worawat, who is a senior pastor at the Gospel Church located in the Kalasin province, has been chosen as the new president of the C&MA in Thailand. He has worked the past eight years as a member of the board committee of the C&MA Thailand. Rev. Worawat is feeling honored, challenged, and excited for the tasks God has given and for the new steps in the missionary field!
We are thankful to the Lord for the success of our final meeting with the leadership board committee of the Evangelical Church of North Vietnam in Hanoi on March 27, 2018 regarding the sending of a Vietnamese couple to plant a church among the Vietnamese-Thai in Nakhon Panom province of Thailand.
Rev. Andy Chi is the new President of the Taiwan Alliance Church Union. He grew up in a Christian setting, but it wasn’t until later that he and his wife, Mary, decided to dedicate themselves entirely to God’s work. He wants to share a little bit of his story, his journey with our Lord and how he became President.
