The annual conference of the Alliance in Great Britain was held in a castle but the theme was relevant for today: “Trans-for-Mission”. Encouraging examples were presented like Blakelaw Community Church in Newcastle. They opened their doors for the neighborhood and organized a party for the Queen’s Jubilee. Since then several new families have joined the church. Growth was also reported by Chinese Churches and a new ministry among Polish immigrants. In Manchester, workers from Peru reach out to many nationalities, among whom many Muslims. AWF’s Arie Verduijn led several seminars and received a special offering for the support of an AWF project.
