Last Sunday, during the Church-service in Baghdad, smoke entered the building.
A woman started to shout when she saw fire, people panicked as they thought it was a terrorist attack.
It appeared that it was “only” someone trying to start a fire in the Church-compound and guards were able to extinguish the flames.
But what worries Pastor Joseph is the fear that enters in the mind of the church attendants. They know this kind of thing doesn’t happen by accident, they are a target for terrorists.
He asks AWF sister-churches to pray for protection and inner peace that surpasses understanding. He adds: “You are our partner”. He is right, we are members of the same body of Christ. Let’s stand together against threats and fear among brothers and sisters in Baghdad.
Jesus said: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27
