The Christian and Missionary Alliance of Cuba began in Cuba in 1995, by two pastors of Dominican origin based in New York and, therefore, of the Christian and Missionary Alliance of the USA. Due to the tensions between Cuba and the US, these pastors reached out to the Christian and Missionary Alliance of the Dominican Republic, who in turn asked the newly formed Latin American Alliance Fellowship (CLA) to help them in this work, and in 1996 the Alliance churches of other countries such as Chile, Peru and Colombia integrate the work in Cuba. Then, in 1999, the support of the Alliance of Canada was added, which was formalized in 2000.

In 2010 we were 17 churches throughout the national territory. With the new church board, an organizational process starts and the need to establish a clear definition of our vision and work projection, which begins in 2011.

In 2012 we become officially members of CLA. In 2015, a process of conversations began with the Christian and Missionary Alliance of the USA, who in 2016 starts to get involved in the support of the Cuban Alliance. In that same year we are given official membership as part of the Alliance World Fellowship (AWF).
