“History, Theology, Thought and New Dynamics of the Christian and Missionary Alliance” was the theme of the teaching September 3-4, 2019 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was organized by the Buenos Aires Bible Institute (IBBA).
The speaker was Magister Cristian Salgado Cariaga, who participated in the first AWF-ICTE Young Scholars Program organized last July in Nyack, New York. In the two days of this activity, participants could talk about the historical context of the times of A.B. Simpson, the development of theological thought, the Fourfold Gospel and the challenges for the church today. The teaching was supported by presentations and a written document that was delivered to each participant. It contained historical and theological topics, and dialogues for the workshops.
Participants included the Executive Board of the C&MA Argentina, District presidents and leaders, and presidents and delegates of different institutions: Alliance Publications, Ladies’ Ministry, Children’s Ministry, Youth Ministry, teaching and administrative staff and students of the IBBA seminary. In total, about 50 people attended this activity.
According to Rev. Daniel Fanderwud, president of the C&MA in Argentina, there was a lot of interest in continuing to deepen the topics presented. In addition, the possibility of sharing the course at District level to serve more pastors and leaders from all regions of Argentina was raised.
Each person received a certificate from the IBBA seminary in recognition of their participation.
