The Ministerial Update will present the ministry philosophy that drives the mission of a generation that is assuming key roles in Latin America, starting September 21.
Each webinar will present experiences and inspiration from the work that leaders of three generations carry out among themselves: the older generation that forms, delivers the message and empowers; another generation who reads the times, receives the legacy and serves their generation with contemporary tools; and a younger one that is already building actions in the face of their own moral, social and spiritual challenges.
The Christian and Missionary Alliance in Latin America is seeing how emerging spiritual leaders, between the ages of 35 and 45, have responsibly received the direction of historical ministries of the church, as well as participation in leadership roles in external organizations connected to Christian service.
Some of these emerging leaders in the region serve in traditional ministries, such as leading representative churches, so considered because of their large size and structure, or because of their religious influence, or because of their effective witness to non-evangelical society.
Other emerging leaders are directors in Alliance institutions on the continent and in each country, contributing thought in the direction of making decisions that are marking the ministries of the church, which are increasingly varied and specialized.
Another group of leaders is also emerging that has been developing ministries that flourish and grow stronger in areas such as planting new churches in unreached areas, high-level academic theological education, business as mission, and bi-occupational ministries undertaken by pastors or missionaries who are professionals in fields such as economic, social, medical and technological sciences.
Thousands of servants of the Lord have connected to the webinars to receive advice, inspiration and the Word of God in the Ministerial Update conducted by CLA, AWF and FATELA. We hope that this second part in September will continue to bless national presidents, directors, pastors, scholars and missionaries who prayerfully seek a voice to guide their next steps as we share as an Alliance family.
The September sessions have the following schedule:
- Pastors in Representative Churches and Boards of Directors: September 21
- Bible, Theology and Contextualization: September 24
- Church Planting and New Ministries: September 28
- Bi-Occupational Ministries: October 1
At each webinar, three or four speakers will share their perspectives on character and legacy building, the development of ministries in these times, and their perspectives on the near future of the church in Christian witness everywhere.
