From Montero, Santa Cruz, Rev. José Luis Jaldín is the new president of the C&MA church of Bolivia. His desire for the national church is to activate the ministries, emphasize new church planting, and support the Kingdom’s advance.
Rev. José Luis Jaldín Balderrama was born in April of 1975 in Montero, Bolivia. He left home when he was 13 years old and pursued studies in Cochabamba. He married Maribel Saavedra in 2000, and together they have three children: José Fernando, 21; Esther Raquel, 17; and Gabriel Sion, 9.
Rev. Jaldín studied civil engineering at the Universidad Mayor in San Simón. He has a master’s degree in Integral Management of Water Resources and earned a Ph.D. cum laude in Education Sciences. He has experience working with homeless children and currently supports the community where he lives as sub-president of the Territorial Organization of Huayllani Grande base. His work has given him recognition as a “Meritorious Citizen” of Sacaba and the “Medal of Merit” from the Chamber of Deputies of Bolivia.
Rev. Jaldín accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior on November 2, 1995, and together with other eight young people started what later would become the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of Cochabamba. At that time, the church had no pastor, and God allowed him to immediately develop his leadership skills. He decided to prepare himself to serve the Lord and went to study at the Alliance Theological Seminary.
He began his ministry working with children, adolescents, youth, and married couples, and later became pastor of the Alliance Church of Cochabamba. After that, Rev. Jaldín was assigned to the Alliance Church of Quillacollo, where he is currently serving as pastor. He was elected president of the Christian and Missionary Alliance of Bolivia in May 2022 for a three-year term.
Rev. Jaldín hopes to activate the national ministries, emphasizing church planting and supporting the advancement of the Kingdom of God.
He asks us to pray for him and his family so they might be able to support the pastors in Bolivia to bear fruit for God’s glory. Let us pray that God may guide and bless Rev. José Jaldín as he leads the Alliance Church of Bolivia.
