With more than 20 years of ministry, Job Dao is the new president of the C&MA of Burkina Faso. Besides preparing for the church’s centenary celebration, he plans to spread the gospel to unreached cities in Burkina Faso.
Job Dao was born into a Christian family of nine children, and his father was a pastor. He grew up in a small town called Nouna. He is married and has four children: a girl and three boys.
Having grown up in a Christian environment, Rev. Dao felt God calling him to be a minister. After getting his degree in theology and his biblical training, he started his pastoral ministry in 1991. He is currently a senior pastor at the Central Alliance Church of Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso.
Elected in April of 2021, Job Dao will serve as president of the Christian and Missionary Alliance of Burkina Faso for the next five years. He and his team are working on the preparations for the centenary of the Alliance in Burkina Faso in 2023.
Rev. Dao asks us to pray for peace and safety throughout the country. Because of the instability and challenges they are facing, many pastors have left the church. Pray for the construction of the church’s new headquarters and the centennial celebration. He also asks us to pray for God’s wisdom and guidance for this new presidential term so that they may spread the gospel throughout the country.
