Born into a family of missionaries that worked worldwide, Rev. Jeremy Warden now has more than 20 years of ministry experience. As president, Rev. Warden hopes to help guide the Brazilian Alliance in strengthening and renewing its relationship with God.
Born in 1976 in Hollywood, Florida, USA, Jeremy John Warden is the new president of the Christian and Missionary Alliance of Brazil (ACEMBRAS). His parents, Lennard and Diane Warden, were sent to Brazil in the 1980s by the Canadian and U.S. Alliance as missionaries. His grandparents and other relatives had also been missionaries in many countries. Jeremy gave his life to Jesus at a Vacation Bible School when he was six years old, and in his teen years he heard God calling him to serve in Brazil. He married Berenice in 1998, and they have three children: Adam, Megan and Logan.
Rev. Warden graduated in 1999 with a degree in Missiology: Church Planting from Toccoa Falls College, USA, and started his pastoral work in Brazil in 2003.
Rev. Warden was elected president of the Brazilian Alliance at the National Church Council in January 2022 and will serve for two years.
He hopes to guide the Brazilian church toward a ten-year vision with a strong emphasis on the feeling of family among members, pastors and churches. He also wants to see more churches being planted, missions being reinvigorated, and new workers being trained.
Rev. Warden asks us to pray for a renewal in the ACEMBRAS churches, for new converts, restored lives, new church plantings, and new leaders. Pray also for his family. May God continue to use them in the best way for his glory in Brazil.
