Rev. Bashar Nimat and his family
The new president of the C&MA Church of Jordan and the Holy Land, Rev. Bashar Nimat, has a motto: “Living a devoted life for Christ requires growth in the Christian character through discipleship.” Elected in March 2018, he desires not only to see people getting saved but live a fulfilled life for Christ.
Rev. Bashar Nimat was born in 1971 and is married to Reem. The couple has two wonderful boys, Naser, 13 years old, and Samer, 11. Rev. Nimat has been working with the C&MA Church in Jordan since 1990 and has done relief work as well as lead a youth ministry.
After attending a Bible Study group in the house of a believer for about two years, Nimat accepted Christ Jesus as his Lord and Savior in February of 1988. It was then that his journey of discipleship began. In December of 1990 he went on a month-long evangelism trip outside of Jordan; during that time, the Lord spoke to Nimat and he became devoted to His service.
Nimat attended The Christian Alliance Institute of Theology (CAIT) in Beirut, Lebanon where he received a Certificate of Theology (1992-1994). After his graduation from CAIT, he returned to Jordan to serve in children’s and youth ministry and to assist in pastoring the Marj El-Haman Church. He also was involved in planting the C&MA Yadoudeh Church.
In 2017, Rev. Nimat became the Senior Pastor at the National C&MA Church in Seventh Circle in Amman, Jordan. Under his leadership, the church has embraced the mission of knowing and proclaiming Jesus Christ as Savior, Sanctifier, Healer, and Coming King and to complete His Great Commission.
Pastor Nimat has a passion for kids, youth and discipleship ministries. He believes that the future of the Evangelical church in Jordan is children and youth. He desires not only to see people being saved but live a fulfilled life for Christ. His motto is: “Living a devoted life for Christ requires growth in the Christian character through discipleship.”
