Giving Praise to God for the Great Things He Has Done in 2019 in Europe and the Middle East

Dear EMERALD and AWF Family,

The EMERALD Regional Coordinating Committee (RCC) is encouraged to see how God is working through the Christian and Missionary Alliance family in our region as new projects take shape and mission mobilization grows. We pray that God will be exalted in our region in building His Church and expanding His kingdom through the work of all national churches in the region.

2019 has been a busy year in the EMERALD (Europe and Middle East) Region with many blessings as a result.

The EMERALD Regional Coordinating Committee (RCC) participated in the ABC Gemeenten Church Union annual pastors’ conference in March 2019 to share about the mission field in the EMERALD region. It was a time of blessing and joy as the Alliance family came together in the Netherlands.

The AWF EMERALD 2019 Regional Conference was hosted by National Alliance Church (MKAD) in Wiesbaden, Germany in May 2019 and was the biggest conference in history with over 140 delegates present from both the region and from the wider AWF family, including a representation from Latin America. The theme of the conference was “Living in the Fourfold Gospel” and included the Symposium of Alliance Theology.

During the conference, the AWF EMERALD region adopted a new vision statement for the region.

“The mission of the Alliance World Fellowship and the Emerald Region is to facilitate cooperation amongst its members (churches and organizations) as they work for the fulfillment of the Great Commission.”

“The vision of the Alliance World Fellowship is that Emerald becomes a platform for Kingdom centered partnerships and fellowship within the Alliance family in our region to further the Gospel as we work together for the fulfillment of the Great Commission.”

We praise God for His provision and for the blessing and encouragement of the conference.

ECMU, the National Alliance Church in Russia, celebrated its 25th Anniversary in Krasnodar, Russia in May 2019. It was a time of great joy and celebration of how God has grown the ECMU to 65 churches in 25 years. The ECMU Mission project in Burgas, Bulgaria, was adopted as an EMERALD Missions project with the financial support of the national Alliance churches of France and Great Britain. We give glory to God for the way that Alliance churches are working together throughout our region.

Titled “Lift Up Your Eyes,” the first FIACME (C&MA Spain) National Missions Conference took place in Spain in September 2019. It was a blessing to see and share how God is mobilizing the Spanish Alliance churches for mission.

The AWF African Alliance Diaspora project started in France and Europe in October 2019 with the arrival of Pastor Jean Kra from the Ivory Coast. It is a unique project where the AWF family in Africa and Europe are working together to connect with the African Alliance Diaspora. We praise God for providing the vision and the resources for this important project.

The Alliance Diaspora Conference for the region took place in Spain in October 2019 with the Alliance family involved in Diaspora ministry throughout Europe. The MedLink project was launched to mobilize Alliance churches in the Middle East for Diaspora ministry in Europe. We praise God for the work that He is doing in growing Diaspora ministry in our region.
