The Alliance World Fellowship (AWF) is pleased to announce the creation of a theological research prize, the AWF Theology Award.
This award is administered by the International Commission of Theological Education (ICTE) and rewards an original research paper devoted to one of the following subjects:
- The history of the Christian and Missionary Alliance;
- The theology of the Christian and Missionary Alliance; and
- The missionary and ecclesial practices of the Christian and Missionary Alliance.
The results of this original research will be presented in the form of an academic article of five thousand (5,000) words maximum (excluding footnotes). The article can be written in the language of the author’s choice.
The two best articles as judged by the ICTE will be rewarded with:
- A scholarship trip to the AWF Quadrennial Convocation in Guayaquil, Ecuador (airfare, accommodation, conference registration included; personal expenses excluded);
- Publication of the article on the AWF Repository.
Interested writers are invited to submit their papers to AWF’s Chair of the International Commission of Theological Education (Rev. Dr. Peter Laughlin, [email protected]).
Applications are open to any individual connected to the Alliance.
The closing date for submissions is December 14, 2019. Winners of the prize will be announced and notified following the ICTE meeting on the March 20, 2020.
