Our deep gratitude to the Lord for his grace for the Alliance church in Latin America. Amid the adversity of the pandemic caused by COVID-19, God showed us his faithfulness at every step. The service he has allowed us to perform as the Board of the Latin American Alliance Fellowship has been a blessing for the global Alliance family. Sharing the vision of taking the gospel to the ends of the earth, and seeking to know Christ more and more to only glorify his name, is what has kept us steadfast in the world.
Passing through this valley of the shadow of death as it was in the period of confinement made us further strengthen our bonds of brotherhood and deep love in the Lord. We have supported all our brothers in Latin America in prayer so that we can respond to the urgent needs that surround us.
It was an uplifting time to come together online as one body of Christ through the 2020 Ministerial Update. The webinars held from August to November were organized by AWF CLA and FATELA. As pastors and churches were updated on issues related to the “new normal” that generated social isolation as a result of the coronavirus we could see God moving on earth through his church.
For this and much more we thank the Lord. We move forward with the certainty that he continues to lead us by his hand to fulfill his eternal purpose through us, continuing toward the goal by keeping our eyes on Jesus.
Dear brothers and sisters, it is my wish that in this special time when we remember the birth of our beloved Savior Jesus Christ, we can enjoy it together with our family and church, thanking God for all his love poured into each one of us. In the approaching new year, may we walk in integrity, seeking to always please him, making his word real in our lives. May the Lord lead us to a deeper knowledge of his will. May we walk wisely on the eternal path, leading fervent lives of prayer. Let us be firm ambassadors of the kingdom of heaven, proclaiming at all times the precious message of salvation through Jesus Christ.
In Christ,
Rev. David Muthre Ruiz
