The AWF ICTE’s (International Commission of Theological Education) vision is to further enable and grow the mission of The Christian and Missionary Alliance worldwide and, therefore, to glorify the triune God.

In particular, this project will gather select young leaders from the various regions of Alliance World Fellowship to motivate, equip, and train them to effectively pass along an enthusiasm for the rich history, theology, and missional and pastoral practice of the C&MA (Alliance History and Thought/Alliance DNA) among its official and lay workers.

New York City and the Metropolitan District of the C&MA (U.S.).
Date/Time:
Currently scheduled for June 9-13, 2025.
Candidates:
–Ideal candidates will:
- Be recognized by their respective AWF regional leadership as young leaders of particular promise, especially in the area of teaching Alliance History and Thought, and a proven track record in Alliance ministry.
- Be approximately 40 years of age or younger.
- Have completed or be enrolled in a Master’s degree in a related academic discipline (theology, biblical studies, church history, etc.).
- Receive from the national church/region/district sufficient funds to cover any and all personal expenses while involved in the course including, but not limited to, air fares, health insurance, and visa costs. (The governing authority may apply to the AWF for assistance in meeting some of these expenses.)
- Alliance World Fellowship will cover the costs associated with housing, meals, ground transportation during the time of study, necessary materials, and admissions to events/sites. It does not cover travel to and from New York or any other personal costs incurred during travel.
- Be able to secure an appropriate visa to visit the United States.
- Be eligible for licensing within their national church.
Final candidate selection remains the decision of the Selection Committee.
Application:
Interested individuals will make application to the Selection Committee, through their respective AWF Regional ICTE members. Applications should include:
- An up-to-date curriculum vitae/resumé.
- A one-page letter outlining their reasons for interest in the program and any other information that the Selection Committee should consider in its deliberations.
- A one-page letter confirming that, should they be selected, they commit to fulfilling all of the requirements and responsibilities of program.
- A letter of recommendation from their Alliance national church leadership.
*All application documents must be submitted in/translated into English.*
Requirements:
If selected, candidates agree:
- To attend the program in its entirety.
- To actively engage in any and all aspects of the program
- g. classroom activities, daily reading, writing, group activities, field trips, etc.
All submissions must be received by the Selection Committee no later than December 1, 2024.
