Vietnamese Church Planting
Missionary Initiative
Thailand is a growing economy, known as a South East Asian “Tiger”, with a strong sense of national pride and a conflict-avoiding persona. According to the CIA World Facebook, the smashing majority of the population is Buddhist, at approximately 94.6%, followed by 4.3% who are Muslims, 1% of Christians, and another 1% representing other beliefs and faiths.
The Evangelical Churches of Vietnam North will send its first missionary couple to plant churches among the Vietnamese-Thai people. The couple will be sent to the Nakhon Phanom province and will reach around 60,000 people in the 5 provinces along the area of the Mekong River.
"In addition to the early morning and evening prayer ministry and the building of friendship with the people, we also go to Vietnamese villages, markets and shops to socialize and build a friendship and relationship with them."
