For the first time in the history of the Alliance men in Africa, the Pan-African Union of Men of the Christian Alliance Churches – Union Panafricaine des Hommes d’Églises de l’Alliance Chrétienne (UPHEAC) held a conference at which various topics related to life in Christ were discussed and which aimed at getting men to become more involved in their roles to testify the faith of the missionary church to the family, the church and society.
They discussed the role of man in the Christian Alliance and in mission and development projects, starting with the homes. In addition, several topics and sub-themes were discussed, such as the current obstacles of the church in the countries represented and the neighboring countries; the spiritual growth of churches and men; marriage and family issues, among many other matters relating to life as a church and as an individual.
The event took place in Conakry, Guinea and lasted from 23-27 August 2018. It brought together 163 men from Guinea, Burkina Faso, Mali, and Ivory Coast and had three speakers: Pr. Pierre Ifono, Pr. Celestin Koffi, AWF Vice-President and Africa Regional Coordinator, and Pr. Victorien Koffi, General Secretary of the UPHEAC.
By thanking and continually praising God, this conference was certainly a time of individual and collective growth and many blessings.
