The Alliance (C&MA) started in North America 126 years ago. From there it spread around the globe, but the movement grow as well in the area where it all started.
CANADA: There are now 434 Alliance churches in Canada. They are organized into six districts with a total inclusive membership of 130,000 people. The districts are actively involved in a variety of church planting efforts. Of the 434 congregations, thirty percent worship in a language other than Canada’s two official languages of English and French. 254 Canadian International Workers are deployed to impact least-reached people groups, with well over 100 least-reached people groups being impacted globally in 42 nations of the world.
USA: There are 2,037 Alliance churches in the United States, of which nearly 40 percent are non- Anglo. More than 45 percent of the total membership in the United States represents non-Anglo ethnicities. They worship in more than 36 languages. There are 102 new church-planting projects in progress. A special thrust has been made to stimulate church-planting efforts among Hispanic populations. An association of Arabic-Speaking Alliance Churches was organized in 2013 to advance ministry among the increasing number of Arabic-speaking people in the United States.
It remains the vision of the Alliance in the U.S. to focus its resources on the least-reached areas of the world. There are nearly 700 workers around the world. 35 New workers were appointed in 2013.
